The Federal government has begun payment of monthly stipends to all the unemployed youths across the nation, the finance minister stated during the Economic Summit in the ministry.
This was disclosed in a statement released by the Special Assistant to Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun, Laolu Akande on Monday.
According to the statement, some of the states have already been funded and their participants have started receiving bank alerts through the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) of its Social Investment Programmes, SIP.
He also stated that over 700,000 beneficiaries of the N-Power programme, close to 50% of the graduates, have now been physically verified, and started receiving their monthly stipends of N30,000 over the previous months.
The statement reads: ”A second batch of over 1, 000,000 unemployed graduates are expected to be selected during this current batch to reach the target set by the Buhari administration.
